So if I managed to turn in my handbooks before the update for a whopping 2,500 reputation, am I just screwed? I think 30,000 reputation is pretty awesome and I want it for the hard work I put in on the missions and dungeons.

If there isn't a way for me to get it, I'm going to be pretty pissed off.

there's a bug... ask for new hero and dungeon book and if you've completed both just talk to the guy again and he'll treat them as if they were full and you gain full exp and rep.

K... I was doing that in Rata Sum, but it wouldn't give me a new book. Only hard mode books. So I went to Gunnar's Hold and it worked. But it wouldn't let me turn the book in for Asuran points in Rata Sum.

I guess since I'm rank 8 asuran, it isn't going to allow any trades there, except for HM books.

That's fine, I'm just glad I didn't loose all of normal mode's bounty. I can toss it on Vanguard or something I assume.

I handed in my Hero Handbook before the update for the 2500 rep point reward. After the update i was able to get a new Hero Handbook, spend about 1k-1.3kfor its pages to be filled and turn it in for 20,000 points and 4k gold along with some xp. So you still have a chance at getting the good reward.

I was planing on starting a "Anet screwed me!" thread and then /ragequit, but you saved me from the brink... (well I wasn't really, but it sounds good.)

the whole hand in system seems bugged.

when i handed my hero book in i got the correct amount, got another, talked to him again by accident (wonders of space bar) and he said it had missing pages and would fill it out for 1.3k. So i did and i got the reward again lol.

Sadly it only worked once...

ya it happened to me with my Dungeon books. i turned it twice for 12k rep reward. good anyway i also found out the Primary Quests the big ones are alrdy completed on HM talk to him with HM book he will ask to fill out with the Main Primary Quests. SO it was all good to get the rep needed for my r6 Agent Title.

Weeeell...seems I am the only one who happened to have that BIG luck, but when the rewards for books were crap, I just kept both of them....yesterday I gave them to get the new uber rewards and when I went talking with the guy of the books, he gave me back other 2 filled up books for the utterly ridicolous price of 3k totally. It's true that I've played a lot gw:en, but I'm sure I've not made many missions more than once, and still they awarded me with full books...well now I'm r8 in deldrimo, asuran and vanguard

OH now I get it, ive been screeming at my screen because the Norn would not accept my hand books.

Never new the normal mode books are useless once you hit rank 8.. that sucks1!!

Well that is the only good thing imo. It would be too damn easy to get max rank if you would just need to repeat all quests in eotn to get a uber 20k factions...or dungeons as well.

Doubtful its a bug. I'm sure they didn't want the people who turned it in early to get left in the dust.

so you get the "new" credit for only 1 hero handbook and 1 dungeon guide if you've turned them in before the update? as in, if you've turned in 3 handbooks you only get the "new" reward for 1? still better than nothing.

to add to the confusion, I completed the first 15 missions pre-update and the 16th post-update.

Last night I turned in the full book for 20K reputation, got another, and paid 1K to have pages filled in. The first 15 pages were filled, the 16th was not. So it appears that pages earned pre-update can be refilled, but pages earned post-update cannot? Not sure how long this will last, but I'm grabbing a few mostly-full books...

Well I got screwed by latest update, since I had gotten to level 8 in all four titles, and now my completed Hero book and completed-but-one dungeon book is now useless--thanks Anet for letting us know in advance--NOT
